Week off
A week off. Gained 5 Thanksgiving pounds.
6 mile run on Monday. Watch did not work, but I was happy with the "feel".
I bought a small electronic metronome and have used it on the last 3 runs, I really like it. I am working hard on my running form which includes a high cadence. I was surprised that my “new” natural cadence was 91 to 92 steps per minute. Plenty fast. That is good news. Now I need to keep working on a good base and next year maybe on some speed which would means a little longer stride with the same 92 steps. The metronome keeps me on pace and focussed and helps especially when running up hill and when I start to tire.

Turkey Roll
A minor mistake.
72 miles is too far when you haven't trained for it. This is the first ride that I actually considered the sag wagon at mile 40, but when you ride with an Ex-Marine there is no quitting no matter how rubbery your legs feel. Fortunately things got better the last 20 miles, probably because I spent most of it sucking air on Jimmy’s rear wheel. Anyway, got thru it and had a good time believe it or not. I hope that I learned a lesson - probably not.

Friday's 9 miler
9 miles in 1:27. About a 9:40 pace. So I am revising my HM time goal up to 2:05. I don't think that I can pull off a sub 2 hour HM.
I did find a great place to run - Brookhaven College. They have a two mile trail with a track like surface. I will run there more often.
