Time 2:06
I am very satisfied with the time especially since I felt like I was running much slower and my training was about 70% of what is should have been. The Mexico vacation ending 4 days before the race did not help any.
I came very close to not showing up for this run - but I thought there are always reasons not to race and if I give in once it would be much easier to give in the second time. I walked 35 steps every mile except for the last 3, plus a restroom stop. The first 10 miles went well. The last 3 were more difficult, maybe because I have never run more than 12 miles before the race.
I am proud of running a Half Marathon and sticking with a plan that got me through it reasonably well. I am also even more impressed with Marathon runners than I was before. I can't imagine making a second lap.
First 5 miles at 9:56 pace - the last 2.1 miles at 8:52 this is according to the White Rock Results. Not a bad split.

If you figure you lost about 15 seconds per tequila shot in Mexico, you come in comfortably below 2 hours.
You did great! I agree about the tequila...maybe next time, go to Colorado before a race-the altitude will help you train...oh, wait, maybe you should just stay home before a big race, Colorado wasn't kind to you this summer...
Great Job! Looking forward to the 2008 season!
