Thursday Run - Not so much

Ok, time for a run. I go buy my a 4 bottle fuel belt (because Peter has one) fill them with my favorite sports drink.
Get Trigger, and he is excited. It has been a long time since we ran last, way too long for him. I tell Travis that I am going
on a run and will be gone about an hour. I plan to take it easy.
Out the front door . . .standing on the side walk . . Triggers ready . . . I’m ready . . . I put the leash on Trigger . . . we a ready to roll. We are off. One step - three steps - five steps - that’s is as far as we (I) get. All the way to the middle of my neighbors yard. I feel like there is a spear sticking out of my chest and with every step the spear bounces up and down.
Needless to say I am disappointed and have to settle for a walk. Trigger is very unhappy. He is walking ahead of me always looking over his should saying with his eyes, “let’s go, what’s up with you, come on let’s go already”.
We get back home after 35 minutes. Trigger plops down in front of the fire place and pouts the rest of the night.
Triathlete I am not.

Let yourself heal! Don't be macho about the ribs, you have to rest. TRAITHLETE YOU ARE...only nutty triathletes would try to run with a massive rib injury!

It's not me that's pushing, it's my dang dog.

Correction: I have a SIX-bottle fuel belt. I knew you'd want me to point that out.

Look at the bright side - at least you can bike (a little) so HH100 is still a go!

Does it hurt when you drink beer?
