Half number 2.
Watch time 2:02
A good run. It was hard to make a push in the last mile due to a couple of short hills. Hills are also relative - it may not be hilly course compared to Austin, but is was more hilly than Whiterock.
No walk breaks or restroom stops in this race. I felt good about my effort and results. The weather was perfect - about 40 at the start and 45 at the finish with a little wind. I wore a DA Tri jeresy and carried a gel bottle and sweat rag in the pockets. The gel bottle works better for me than the individual packets. Most of the race I stayed in the 155 HR range and let it climb the last 4 miles. I am sure that I had a negative split like Whiterock which is a major goal of mine.
180 Max
160 AHR
Scott M. and I road together and of course he flew through the course at an 8 minute pace. We basically run different races, it just happens to be on the same course and start at the same time.
Now I get to ride my new bike.
